VISITING A
NEW CHURCH CAN BE INTIMIDATING
WE UNDERSTAND THE MANY THOUGHTS THAT CAN COME FROM VISITING A NEW CHURCH, SO WE WANT YOU TO FEEL COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE WHEN YOU VISIT.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT'S A SERVICE LIKE?
All of our services last about 90-120 minutes. Services are Sundays at 10 am. Our services feature Holy Spirit-led praise and worship with a variety of songs, including the most modern releases to classic hymns of the faith. The teaching in our services is biblically rooted and Holy Spirit-inspired, so that, not only is it relevant to today, but it's transformational as well.
WHERE DO MY KIDS GO?
We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids
AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE?
A giving box is located near the door as you enter/exit the sanctuary. If you're visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the giving boxes. If you consider OFH your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving. You can give by check or cash at weekend service or any time during the week when you're on campus, or you can set up an online giving account on ourfathershouse.life/give.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. From flip flops to sports jackets, we think you'll fit in no matter how you dress!
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
We reserve our closest parking spaces for guests and our elderly family members. Chances are, once you park, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our greeters before you ever enter the building. In the event that these parking spots are already occupied, feel free to park wherever is most convenient for you and your family.
CAN I TAKE COMMUNION?
We make the elements of communion available every week at OFH to those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice. This does not mean you are obligated to partake every week. Please feel free to observe communion as you feel led during our worship service.
